Frequently Asked Questions
Please read our FAQ before sending us a message.
Every dollar donated to Music Cures Cancer goes directly toward our mission here in Nashville: funding live music events that raise both money and awareness, supporting patients and families touched by cancer in our community, and building toward our goal of placing music therapy programs in Nashville-area cancer treatment centers, with the long-term vision of taking this model nationwide. We run lean, so as much of every gift as possible goes straight back into the work.
Right now, donations to Music Cures Cancer are not tax-deductible — we’re in the process of finalizing our nonprofit status and expect that to change. We’ll update this page the moment it does. In the meantime, every dollar you give goes straight into our mission: live shows, community support, and building toward music therapy programs here in Nashville.
Yes, and we love when a donation carries that kind of meaning. At checkout, there’s a space for order notes — just let us know it’s in honor or in memory of someone, include their name, and any details you’d like us to know. We’ll take it from there and reach out personally to acknowledge the gift.
Our merch is made just for you through print-on-demand, so please allow a little extra time. Production typically takes a few business days before your item even ships, and standard delivery adds more time on top of that, most orders arrive within 1–2 weeks depending on the item and your location. Every purchase also supports our mission, so thanks for your patience!
All sales are final. As a small team, we can’t offer refunds. That said, we want you to love your gear. If something arrives in the wrong size, or you’d rather have a different design, reach out through our Contact form within 14 days of delivery and we’ll work with you on an exchange for an item of similar value. Just give us a shout before sending anything back.

The best way is to sign up for our newsletter, we’ll send you a quick note straight to your inbox whenever a new show gets announced. You can also check our Events Calendar page anytime to see what’s coming up. And if you’re out and about in Nashville, keep an eye out, we’ll be putting up posters around town too, the old-fashioned way.
It depends on the event! Some of our shows are free, others are ticketed; check the listing for that show on our Events Calendar, or the poster, for the specific details. Either way, every event helps support our mission, so come on out.
Music Cures Cancer was founded in 2014 as a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. After a string of setbacks forced us onto an extended hiatus, our nonprofit status lapsed while we were inactive. We’re back now, rebuilding from the ground up, and actively working to restore that status. We’ll update this page the moment it’s official, see the donation FAQ above for how this affects tax-deductibility in the meantime.
Our newsletter is the best one-stop way to stay in the loop, covering both upcoming shows and bigger organizational news and milestones. You can also check our News Page for longer updates, or follow us on social media for the day-to-day.
